Norway

The trip I might have mentioned to a Cyril (see the previous entry) was to Tromso in the north of Norway, well into the Arctic Circle.  This shot of the aurora borealis just forming above some mountains was taken around midnight some way inland from Tromso as we headed to the Finnish border.  It was 21 degrees below at the time of shooting and hard work to fiddle with the camera, but I at least recorded the event.  Later, as we entered Finland, the temperature fell a further eight degrees.
